coronavirus update part 3

The Atlanta Dogwood festival has decided not move forward with an August show. The organizers are looking at a September date but it has to be approved by the city council and I’m not optimistic to say the least.

As of now I am confirmed to participate in the Cottonwood Festival in Richardson TX the weekend of October 5-6. If I’m honest I’m not super confident about that one either.

That’s my only confirmed show in 2020, but others could come including Charlotte, Ocala, Pensacola, and Madison. We’ll see I guess.

Regardless of when and where I’ll be next - you can shop from my website all day every day! :)

Scottsdale Arts Festival - March 13-15

The weekend of March 13th – 15th I’ll be showing my art at the Scottsdale Arts Festival. The hours are 10am -6pm on Friday and Saturday and then 10am to 5pm on Sunday. My booth number is 13 which is different than last year. This year I will be right by the Center for Performing Arts. For more info on parking, tickets, and more here is a link to their website https://scottsdaleartsfestival.org/

post festival note - It’s 2000 miles from Jacksonville to Scottsdale. We arrived - a van full of art - ready to set set up and they promptly canceled the show due to the coronavirus. Now it seems totally logical and correct to have canceled it. At the time I was so disappointed - just due to the time and expense of having traveled there.

I must add that our super lovely and very gracious airbnb hosts, upon hearing the show was canceled, volunteered to allow us to use their backyard for a solo pop-up show. They invited friends, I posted to social media, and emailed my local email list. In the end, it wasn’t a huge success but it was a fun day - and I came out okay. Didn’t drive home empty handed. :)

Gasparilla Festival of the Arts - Feb 29 - Mar 1

This coming weekend (Feb 29th and Mar 1st) I will be showing my work at the Gasparilla Festival of the Arts in Tampa. The hours are 9am to 6pm on Saturday and then 10am to 5pm on Sunday. My booth number is 704 which is close to the river on the south side of the park. Also, please be aware that the festival has changed parks. It will be held at Julian B Lane Riverfront Park – just north of the university of Tampa. For more info here is a link to their website http://gasparillaarts.com/

I plan on bringing quite a lot of my art with me - 5 original pieces, 30 plus giclée reproductions on canvas, and plenty of paper giclée prints.

Below is a list of canvas giclée prints I am bringing - I know the names are hard to match up with the pieces. Sorry!

I hope to see you there!

post festival note - thanks to all who came out! The show was a huge success and I am grateful. My newest piece Oceans upon oceans was well received and - even though I thought people would like it - it’s good to actually watch people love it and hear them tell you their reactions to it. So thanks Tampa - see you next year!

Images: A Festival of the Arts - Jan 24-26

The weekend of January 24-26 I will be in New Smyrna Beach for Images: A Festival of the Arts. The hours are Friday 1pm to 5pm, Saturday 9am to 5pm, and Sunday 10am to 4pm. My booth number is 2 - which is on Riverside Drive right at the corner with Canal Street.

Here’s a link to their website if you want more info about parking, maps, or other artists that will be there: https://imagesartfestival.org/

post festival note - The weather was absolutely gorgeous - literally all weekend long. And Toby and I stayed at a place where we could see the sunrise over the ocean from the living room window. It was nice. :) And I feel like there were so many friendly and courteous folks who were genuinely interested in my work. I don’t think I’ll ever take that for granted. I loved it.

Ocala Fine Arts Festival Oct 26-27

The weekend of Oct 26-27 I’ll be in downtown Ocala FL at their Fine Arts Festival. And this year I am their featured artist! So it should be super extra special and fun. If you are in Florida - please make a trip and come see me! I will be booth 97 which is the corner of Broadway and Magnolia.

Below is a list of the canvas giclée reproductions that I will be bringing with me. I know that matching the titles to the images can get a little confusing. Maybe flipping back and forth between this page and the prints page will help. :) I hope to see you there!

post festival note - another great show in Ocala. Being the featured artist was very cool - although the presentation I had to give on Friday night was so nerve-racking. :)

Williamsburg, VA - Oct 5-6

On October 5-6, I’ll be showing my work in Williamsburg, Virginia. It’ll be my first time in this city and only my second time in Virginia (the first being just last weekend). I’m hoping for good weather more than anything! I feel like if the suns out then folks will come out and it’ll be great for everyone. :)

Post festival note - Toby and I had a great time in Williamsburg. The weather was perfect. The town is quaint and cute - with so much history - it was a lot of fun. And thanks to all of you that came out. I hope to see you next year! :)

Crested Butte Colorado

Oh my gosh I couldn’t believe how gorgeous this place was. Months ago when Toby and I were trying to decide to do this show or not - we initially said no. It was just too far and too close to school starting (which complicates things).

But then at some point - and I’m not sure why - we changed our minds. And I’m so glad we did. Because not only did we get a trip to a beautiful part of the country where we had never been, but it was also a tremendous financial success. :) I love it when things work out like that!

I even left some work at the Red Line Gallery so if you’re there check them out!

We stayed an extra day to hike and play - totally worth it. Hopefully, I’ll be back next year. :)
